The Clearing
"The Clearing you have come to may be a place of rest; patience then is needed now, before you resume the quest."
It may seem as if we have come to a clearing where not much is happening. It's not that we aren't busy. It just may seem like there is not a great deal of forward progress. The purpose of the clearing is twofold. (1) It is time to clear out whatever it is that no longer works or fits. This is anything from old relationships to jobs, debts, patterns, drawers, cupboards, and to something as simple as old clothing. Clear things out to make room for the new. It seems so simple, but perhaps is not easy. We may find it difficult to part with old attachments. We tend to hang on to people and/or things simply because they are familiar, and therefore offer some illusion of security, even if they no longer fit. (2) It is time for recharging, regrouping, integration, purging, etc. These things take a certain amount of patience. Try to enjoy the process even it seems a bit challenging. Realize that you are simply "clearing" your space. New can be so exciting! Clear the way.
Today can be quite challenging in terms of impulsiveness. Try to approach things in a methodical manner and don't let your emotions run the show. There may be some frustration around communication and some intense emotions may bubble up to the surface. Say what you have to say and let the other person say what they have to say. it's called "clearing the air."

The Light
"Through love and light your answers, dear, will truly be here soon; this illumination will shine clearly then, even by night's moon."
There is a tendency today to be self-focused. That's ok, as long as it's not self-absorbed. We all have tendencies now to want to be the center of attention and that's ok too, as long as it isn't distorted. Make every attempt not to wallow in self-pity, ego-self, or the drama of grandstanding. We must have balance between the sun, moon, stars, planets, solar system, galaxy, and universal law. It's ok to want to be the sun for a while, but remember too much sun can cause sun-burn, rather than the more desirable and attractive golden tan.

Head and Heart
Today is a good day for head to meet heart. Re-introduce these two to each other. Reconcile in your mind what you feel in your heart. Face facts. Face truths. Say what you have to say and do what you have to do. If you have pressing money issues, there is no point in ignoring them either. There is no power in non-response. Challenges do not disappear if you ignore them. This is childlike. Step up. Take responsibility, even if total resolution may be a bit tricky right now. Deal with things. You will be able to make some forward progress. Pushing things away does not mean that you will have a more convenient time to deal with them at some future date. The time is now.

The Island-Sunset
"The sun that's setting slowly is but a glimmer of what's to be; so know that as you go along an ending is a beginning for thee."
In a traditional tarot deck, this Island-Sunset card could be equated to the "Death" card, but when the "Death" card appears in our tarot card reading, we immediately and perhaps inadvertantly, tend to have some negative or fear-based reaction. So much here is perception. Most of us view a sunset as a beautiful thing[ something to look forward to at the end of a day, yet view death as something to be feared. As we go along here in the Mercury retrograde, begin to try to consciously change your thinking and perspectives, not just on death, but on all of your previous viewpoints. There is such a disparity in our connotation of "sunset" as opposed to "death." Both truly are reflections of the same thing and that is "transformation." Every ending, even and particularly, the ending of a day, gives hope for the new way.
For today - don't get discouraged or frustrated by things, events, or people you have no control over. Do what you can do. Leave the rest behind and know that tomorrow truly is a new beginning. Fear not death, but embrace change. And enjoy that sunset.

The Fool
Today is a think before you act day. Whatever you do and say now can have long lasting repercussions. You may find it challenging to tie up loose ends today, but make every attempt to stay focused and do so. It is also a good day to clear up communication issues from the past. You could come to a partial understanding or compromise with someone now. Go have some fun later, but keep in mind that we are still under the influence of Mercury retrograde and that means old habits and old patterns are at the foundation of everything right now. Don't be fooled.

Leap
Today is a good day to go back and re-examine the past with a fresh outlook. Examine why you no longer feel "love" for the people you used to love. Perhaps it wasn't really love. Maybe it was an illusion of love. Love does not come from an ego centered position of, "what will you do for me," or "how does so and so make me feel when I'm with them," or "so and so hurt me deeply." Love flows from the heart and it is always there, no matter what circumstances have occurred to make it seem as if love has gone. If you can get out of ego and stop feeling hurt, you can go back and re-love those people on the etheric levels. By doing so, you enter and begin a process of forgiveness and releasing. This clears the slate for unconditional love for yourself and others to begin to come in. Try it and see. It takes a bit of being able to leap off of your own safe little lily pad, but perhaps worth it to get to the other side. You must trust in your ability to make that leap. You will not fall in and drown, because perhaps now, through those past experiences, you have learned how to swim. Bless, thank, and release, and in so doing you truly free yourself.

Alignment
Spirituality is not something to practice once a week or when convenient. It is something that we are, something we feel in and with our whole physical being. When all the chakras are open, balanced and clear, energy from above and below is free to circulate throughout our entire energy field. This gives us peace, harmony, sychronicity. This balance is the place from which manifesting and attraction easily becomes earthly reality. This is what is meant when someone says, "be one with the universe." Open your hearts. Open your minds. Open and balance every chakra. Align yourself with your universal purpose and with universal will. This does not occur from the outside. It comes from within. Feel the power in that. Then, watch miracles happen

Foundation
Try to keep the energy and communcation gentle today in the face of possible adversity. It is your choice how communications go, ultimately. Take everything you have; roll all of your gifts up into one today. The energy is there for you to use as you will. The challenge is to look at communications and gifts in a whole different framework than you've ever looked at them before. You can achieve and do anything you set your intention to. It is only as difficult as you perceive it to be. Do the necessary groundwork. Lay a foundation and move forward after March 8th. No house is built without a foundation.
