New Cards for Tarot!!

UPDATE: Aquatic Tarot artist tracked down! He said Yes!!! They're back <3 <3 <3

I am so incredibly excited to announce a new set of tarot cards to use for our readings!!! The cards are the Gilded Tarot ROYALE by Ciro Marchetti. I have fallen in love with them. The same original interpretations are still there, I feel though these cards have truly added a spark of life to these interpretations. I have a set of the Gilded Tarot and am going to add these to my collection. The depth and beauty to these cards is enchanting. I do sincerely hope you all fall in love them the same way I have.

I have had some feedback both positive "Love the new cards Jen ! They are stunning,so vibrant! I had to go in and have a little play" and constructional "What happened? I loved the water color deck!"

I too have been a fan of the Rider-Waite deck since I started reading many, many years ago. I had wanted to use the original deck in fact. However US Games will not allow anyone to use them online, as they have an exclusivity with one online tarot site :(  I have searched for years to find a professional set. Most people that I have asked do not reply. The aquatic tarot (the previous deck) had recently changed their terms of use and I had written to ask permission, however they did not reply either.

I had quite a good chat with the Universe and was told either 1) draw them yourself or 2) ask and you will receive. So I asked. Quite a few respected artists infact and Ciro Marchetti (who was on the top of my list) was the first to reply.

My advice is to sit with the cards, view them as their own entity (yes they are very different from the watercolour version I was using) however (hopefully) you will see the depth and beauty of this new deck. They are based on the original Pamela Coleman-Smith designs. The knight of cups for example still sits atop his trusty steed and the interpretation has not changed. (see below).

The new deck has true depth and beauty, it is how I believe Pamela Coleman-Smith would have loved to have seen them drawn, had she been born a little later!

Blessings in love

This card shows a man dressed in armor. He is holding a cup, as if offering it to someone on front of him.  In the background is a blue sky, a river and some mountains and lush green trees and grass. It appears to be a Spring day.  He wears his uniform proudly.  If this is you, then you may be about to propose to the object of your affection.  If this is someone you know, then you may be on the receiving end of a proposal or proposition from this man.  He is affectionate and caring and offers his pledge with sincerity and love.  There could also be a new job offer and this may also involve a place at a distance.

sorry - not liking the tarot change.Beautiful maybe but too detailed & dark. Not a good size for the images online. Liked the old simple ones.

I love love love the new cards. I have a deck myself of the Gilded Tarot and they are so beautiful. I use them mainly for certain readings while I use my Rider Waite for other readings. Great update!
